This is the flagship wine from one of the Vale’s most exciting and progressive producers. They don’t make much but we’ve been lucky enough to get our hands on a parcel. It’s from old vines and naturally fermented with a more-than-negligible percentage of whole bunches before having a relaxing hibernation in 50% new French oak. It’s dense, but carries a beautiful perfume of berries and forest floor. The palate features blackberry, chocolate and cardamom. Behind all of this is quite evident oak that is settling into form as the wine ages. So drink now if you like those cedary notes, or exercise some patience if you want to wait for the oak to slip into the background.
Under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 it is an offence:
* to supply alcohol to a person under the age of 18 years (penalty exceeds $8,000).
* for a person under the age of 18 years to purchase or receive liquor (penalty exceeds $700)

At Vinomofo, and at Starts at 60 we love our wine, but we like to also lead long and happy lives, and be good to the world and the people in it.
We all try to drink responsibly, in moderation, and we really hope you do too.
