When it comes to new world semillon, it doesn’t get much better than the Barossa Valley. Though often overshadowed by the region’s shiraz accomplishments and its rival up in NSW, Barossa semillon vines are some of the oldest (ungrafted) in the world and make absolutely sensational wines. The accolades paint a picture of just how epic this wine is, so I won’t pump it up too much. I will say that it is a deliciously fresh wine that has a long life ahead of it. Texturally, a bit of time in barrel makes for a complex palate but overall, it’s a boisterous little kid that is going to age very very well.
Under the Liquor Control Reform Act 1998 it is an offence:
* to supply alcohol to a person under the age of 18 years (penalty exceeds $8,000).
* for a person under the age of 18 years to purchase or receive liquor (penalty exceeds $700)
