Leptospermum laevigatum, commonly known as Coastal Tea Tree, is a unique variety of the myrtle family. It has a sweet, earthy aroma.
Traditional Tea Tree Essential Oil was one oil we didn’t think we would be adding to our range, as we generally recommend Kunzea instead as it a safer more effective alternative, with a softer aroma. However when we learnt of, and smelt, Coastal Tea Tree while on Flinders Island Tasmania, we got excited and had to get some in!
Leptospermum laevigatum, commonly known as Coastal Tea Tree, is a unique variety of the myrtle family. Although it isn’t as widely known as its Leptospermum cousins such as Manuka and Lemon Tea Tree, the oil distilled from its leaves is aromatically much more pleasant than traditional Tea Tree - with a sweet earthy scent - while still demonstrating a lot of its traditional therapeutic uses.
Wild harvested in small quantities from the pristine coastal areas of Flinders Island, it is still very new to the aromatherapy scene and only produced in small quantities. We are excited to be one of the first companies to include Coastal Tea Tree in our range, and we are sure you are going to love it!
Blending with Coastal Tea Tree
Coastal Tea Tree has a sweet, earthy scent, and blends well with many essential oils - particularly Australian Natives. This may include Kunzea, Lavender, Lemon Ironbark and Black Spruce.

Essential Oil FAQs
Have your essential oils or products been tested on animals?
Absolutely not! We pride ourselves on being a completely cruelty-free brand. In addition, all our Zea Relief products have not and will not ever be tested on animals.
Your essential oils cost less than other brands, how can you offer such low prices?
At Zea Relief we have established long-standing relations with our essential oil producers over the past 25 years. We pass this experience on to consumers in the form of affordable pricing. We use the same quality essential oils as other companies; we just choose to price our essential oils with the best interest of our customers in mind. By not marking up our essential oils, as many competitors do, we can offer premium quality oils at an affordable price.
Can you guarantee the quality of your essential oils?
Yes, we can. With 25+ years of experience in the aromatherapy and essential oil industry, we have a lot of confidence in our supplies from all over the world. We only sell 100% pure essential oils.
Is the quality of Zea Relief Essential Oils the same as Multi-Level Marketing (MLM) companies?
Absolutely. In fact, in a lot of cases, we actually source our premium essential oils from the same farmers as a lot of the major essential oil corporations from around the world. The only real difference between us and well-known brands on the market is that it is only us - a small Australian family business - with over 25 years experience in essential oils. This understanding of the industry is why we can sell our premium essential oils at such an affordable price.
Are your essential oils diluted or watered down in any way?
No. Every essential oil on our website is 100% pure.
